The pie-fect Valentine's gift
Forget the chocolates and flowers, cancel that restaurant booking and abandon the romantic weekend in Paris; Holland’s Pies have suggested sharing the humble pie with the one you love this Valentine’s Day.
That’s why they’ll have delivered a unique, heart-shaped meat and potato pie to Umberto’s Fish and Chips, in Preston in time for the 14th February. Umberto’s name was drawn from a hat containing the names of chippys across the north west that serve Holland’s, and the unique pie will be displayed in the window on Valentine’s Day.
Neil Court-Johnston, Managing Director of Holland’s Pies explains: “In many ways, the ‘chippy’ and Holland’s Pies share the perfect relationship. It’s long lasting, mutually beneficial and full of passion! We just wanted to show our appreciation of the great job our chippys do by sending out a special Valentine’s Pie on Valentine’s Day.”
Neil firmly believes the pie is the perfect way to say ‘I love you’: “People are passionate about our pies and we want them to share that love! What better way to let someone know you care about them than some top quality, traditional British food to complement the single red rose?”
Holland’s employs over 400 people at its Lancashire base and is part of the chilled division of Northern Foods. The company enjoys a 60% share of the market in the north west, an area where 92% of people have heard of Holland’s Pies.
