Holland’s sponsor Manchester Food and Drink Festival 2010
Holland’s Pies, the North-West’s best known producer of pies and puds, has announced that it will be this year's major sponsor of the hotly anticipated Manchester Food and Drink Festival.
Beginning October 1, the 12 day celebration of everything excellent about food and drink in Greater Manchester, is the largest and highest profile festival of its kind in the UK.
Holland’s Pies Managing Director, Neil Court-Johnston said:
“As an integral part of life here in the North West for almost 160 years, we are delighted to sponsor such a well established, popular and polished festival. Manchester is regarded as one of the premium culinary cities in the UK and this festival provides an opportunity to shout about everything that’s excellent in Greater Manchester.
Our way of doing things has won the hearts of families for generations and is enjoyed by millions of people today. If we can help to bring about an innovative festival that highlights the variety of food and drink that is produced and enjoyed in this region, then we will be more than happy.”
The 13th Manchester Food and Drink Festival promises to be a cut above previous years, as the City and region are set to become animated with vibrant food and drink related activity. Plans include a bigger, better food and drink market in the heart of the city, a spectacular finale pavilion on Albert Square and even a foodie cruise aloft the Irwell.
