Holland’s and Coronation Street promise year to remember

This year ITV’s Coronation Street will celebrate its 50th television anniversary as the UK’s longest running primetime drama. To coincide with this historic occasion, ITV STUDIOS Global Entertainment have welcomed Holland’s into a portfolio of six ‘much loved family brands from the north of England’, collectively called Coronation Street’s 50th Anniversary Best of British Brands.

Now Holland’s Pies, which will be joining ITV STUDIOS’ other promotional partner brands, Warburtons, JW Lees Brewery, Typhoo, Imperial Leather and Harvey’s, official sponsor of Coronation Street, has announced a range of ‘epic’ promotions and events throughout the year. They will also be incorporating ‘Coronation Street’ branding on their packaging and POS, offering consumer competitions and maintaining a strong press and online presence.

Neil Court-Johnston, Managing Director of Holland’s Pies, said:

“Coronation Street and Holland’s is the perfect match. We are both steeped in tradition, loved by millions and a core part of this region’s identity. Whilst Coronation Street celebrates its 50th Anniversary, Holland’s Pies will be entering its 160th year of existence. So this year, more than any other, we want the people of this region to celebrate those things that are part of our DNA – not least, ‘corrie’, pies and puds!

"We aim to have a lot of fun with a series of major events throughout the region, from Merseyside and the west coast through to the streets of Manchester. We’ll also be offering fans the chance to pick a new Holland’s Pie flavour and launching a ‘once in lifetime’ competition with the kind of prizes that dreams are made of.”
