You love your Holland's pies, but some people are downright obsessed with them. That's why we, the North West's number one pie manufacturer, recently got together with the Lancashire Evening Telegraph to launch 'Pie Factor' - the North West-wide search for the region's number one pie fan.
Loads of people of all ages who were potty about their Potato and Meat, serious about their Steak and Kidney or just plain crazy about their Chicken and Mushroom put themselves forward. But there could only be one winner and that person is… Syd Rawcliffe from Accrington!
Syd couldn't believe his luck, "I am pie-ly delighted to be crowned the King of Holland's Pies!", he commented. Syd, now known amongst his friends as "His Royal Pieness!", goes home with not only the title 'Pie Factor Winner 2006 - Number One Pie Fan', he also wins a fridge freezer packed with £350 worth of Holland's pies, a taste and testing session at Holland's HQ and an honorary place on Holland's new product panel.
