Holland’s Pie Plan

Holland’s Pies has launched a ‘diet with a difference’, which is sure to warm the hearts of pie lovers everywhere - the Holland’s Pie Plan.

Pie dipCarefully compiled by a leading food dietician, the Pie Plan provides a balanced ‘healthy eating’ programme, which includes a different Holland’s product for every day of the week.

So now, if you’re feeling a little extravagant you can serve your pie on a warm, tossed leaf salad or experiment with some Holland’s ‘pie-aella’. You could even work off any extra pounds with a spot of ‘pie-lates’.

The fact is our pies are traditionally cooked using natural, wholesome ingredients.

The pastry contains up to 40% less fat than our competitors and our pies have less fat and fewer calories than most convenience and snack foods.

We’ve always said that, as part of a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle, the Holland’s Pie is perfectly nutritious, healthy and tasty, now it’s all here in black and white. So, what are you waiting for?

Getting the balance right

Our pies and puds have always been loved as part of a balanced diet… and getting the balance right is the key to a healthy lifestyle.

Pie saladThe issue with calories is quite simple. We need them from a variety of foods to function, from growing and developing to keeping warm and being active.

They will only make you fat if you eat more than your body needs.

Women need approximately 2000kcal a day and men need approximately 2500kcal.

Leftover calories that the body does not require will convert to fat unless they are burnt off through activity.

When we exercise with more intensity, we burn more calories. Better still, when we increase the amount of muscle in our bodies, it will burn more calories than other body tissue - even when you are not moving!
