Oldham Community Leisure is the third Holland's Hero!
We’ve named our third Holland’s Hero – Oldham Community Leisure, the company which operate essential leisure facilities across the town. And, on Friday, the staff got a surprise visit from Stan the Van Man, Holland’s mascot, who delivered a bumper supply of pies to reward them for all their hard work.
The nomination was made anonymously via email, from ‘Rocky56’, who stated they should be rewarded for: “All the hard work they put in to maintaining and running 13 leisure centres in the area which are vital to our community”.
Steve Eyre, marketing and promotional manager at Oldham Community Leisure, said: “We have over 400 staff committed to creating an environment in which sport, active recreation and leisure are integrated into the lifestyle of all Oldham citizens. It’s really encouraging to hear members of our community appreciate the hard work our staff do, even if it was made anonymously!
“Holland’s Pies are a firm favourite amongst us all and everyone was absolutely delighted to discover that we were chosen - Stan brought a smile to many faces.”
