Holland's Iconic Green Pie Vans are Going Social!
We had an eventful bank holiday here at the bakery – and it was nothing to do with Will and Kate’s royal nuptials! We’re talking about our fleet of iconic green pie vans getting a social media make over and the news that one of our colleagues Leanne, our original social media ‘queen’, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl!
Most of you Holland’s fans, particularly from the North West, will be familiar with the famous green vans that have been delivering our pies and puds all around the region for many years – so popular a site are they, that many people wave or beep their horns whenever they see one.
If you’re reading this blog post, you’re more than likely doing so because you’ve connected with us on Facebook or Twitter where we’ve been building a fantastic community of close to 7,000 pie fans for nearly two years. We’re working hard to grow our fan base and thought it would be a great idea to use our vans as a way of letting people know how to connect with us online.
So, as you can see in the photo below, we’ve given our vans a little social media makeover by adding Facebook and Twitter logos to their side and rear panels, as a simple and effective way of letting people know where to come and chat to us.
If you’ve not already ‘Liked’ our Official Facebook Page or 'Followed' @HollandsPies on Twitter do come and say hello, you’ll not only be able to chat to us and other pie fans, you’ll also be able to enter our prize draws and competitions that include regular chances to win Free Pies For a Year!
Finally, on that ‘new baby’ note, we just wanted to share with you the news that our brand manager Leanne, the author of so many of our blog posts and tweets, gave birth on bank holiday Monday to a 6lbs 12oz baby girl – many congratulations Leanne from all of us at the bakery.
