Could Your Family Business Win Ben Shaw's Favourite Chippy of the Year Award?

As we blogged about before, 2010 is the 150th anniversary of Fish and Chips and to celebrate we've teamed up with Ben Shaw's to launch a search for Britain's favourite family chippy.

All family-run fish and chip shop businesses in the UK can enter the competition via this website where you can enter online, or download an entry form and post it back to us. 

The deadline for entries is Friday 27th August 2010, three finalists will then be selected week commencing 6th September. The public will then be given the chance to vote for their favourite from the three finalists selected.

The winning family business will be treated to a family meal for four at J. Sheekey, the exclusive Covent Garden fish restaurant as well as receiving a year's supply of Holland's Pies and Ben Shaw's soft drinks.

Competition Terms and Conditions:

1. The prize for the overall winner consists of a meal for up to four adults at J. Sheekey (or another comparable restaurant selected by Ben Shaw's at its discretion) to be taken on a date and at a time agreed with Ben Shaw's.

2. The maximum value of the meal to be taken (including drinks) is £400 and you will be responsible for payng any excess should the meal you take exceed this value.

3. Holland's Pies will refund any travel costs incurred by you and your guests travelling to London subject to an overall limit of £200.

4. In addition, the overall winner will also receive a year's supply of Ben Shaw's soft drinks and Holland's Pies, which consists of 52 Holland's Pies of mixed variety and 48 cases of 24 x 330ml Ben Shaw's cans of mixed variety. There is no cash alternative for any of these prizes.
