Big Eat Peppered Steak Pie Wins Gold at British Pie Awards 2012
We received great news last week that our Big Eat peppered steak pie, stocked in football clubs, had won a gold award at the recent British Pie Awards held in Melton Mowbray.
The annual British Pie Awards (http://www.britishpieawards.co.uk/) were held on 25th April 2012 and featured pies produced by bakers and butchers from across the UK. Pies were judged by celebrity chefs, pie experts and top food writers including Rachel Green, Charles Campion and Xanthe Clay.
We’re really chuffed that our peppered steak pie won a gold award in the ‘Football’ category, particularly given all that stiff competition. Well done to all the other winners and if you want to find out more about the awards, check out this website www.britishpieawards.co.uk.
